Washburn Valley BeefOur Pedigree Shorthorn beef is reared at Rose Tree Farm in the picturesque Washburn Valley. Peter and Sarah Ashby are the third generation to live in this beautiful area of Yorkshire which has been farmed by the Ashby family since 1926. Our farming policy is to supply top quality beef from a traditional native breed whilst using sustainable farming methods. We both have a great passion for environmental management and are currently converting the farm to Organic status. The farm holds the FABBL (Farm Assured British Beef and Lamb) Certificate, which ensures a high welfare standard throughout the year. Our herd, a traditional rare breed, graze the valley pastures in summer and is fed home produced silage and hay during the winter months. Beef Shorthorn is recognised as one of the most consistent breeds when it comes to Marbling, ensuring unbeatable flavour and succulence. The beef is hung locally for three weeks to allow it to mature to full flavour and tenderness. All cuts are individually vacuum packed and labelled ready for your oven or freezer. The beef is supplied in 10kg or 20 kg boxes. |
